About Counterproof Press
Counterproof Press is a collaborative printmaking and creative arts initiative that brings together students, faculty, and visiting artists to produce limited-edition art objects, artifacts, and publications. Established in 2014, the press serves as a hub for creative writing, printmaking, illustration, graphic design, and book arts at the University of Connecticut.
As part of a unique partnership between the Creative Writing Program in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Art and Art History’s Printmaking, Graphic Design, Illustration/Animation, and Design Center Studio in the School of Fine Arts, Counterproof Press fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and artistic exploration.
Through studio projects, workshops, and events, the press creates opportunities for students and collaborators to engage in hands-on creative processes. With a presence that extends regionally, nationally, and internationally, Counterproof Press inspires innovation and cultivates connections across communities.
